Lawrence Mexican restaurant, brewery, diner cited for multiple health code violations

Here are recent Kansas City-area restaurant inspections. Inspections were compiled for Jan. 2.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations. Direct links are not available.

Tres Mexicanos Mexican Grill & Cantina, 1800 E. 23rd St., Lawrence, had 18 priority violations during a Dec. 18 standardization inspection.

The Radisson Bar & Grill, 12601 W. 95th St., Lenexa, had 13 priority violations during a Dec. 26 routine inspection.

Black Stag Brewery, 623 Massachusetts St., Lawrence, had 11 priority violations during its first operation inspection after licensing. It had four priority violations during a Dec. 31 follow-up inspection.

CocoBolos Mexican Grill & Cantina, Prairiefire, 5621 W. 135th St., Suite 2610, Overland Park, had 10 priority violations during a Dec. 23 follow-up inspection.

Ladybird Diner, 721 Massachusetts St., Lawrence, had 10 priority violations during a Dec. 20 routine inspection.

Walmart, 3300 Iowa St., Lawrence, had 10 priority violations during a Dec. 18 standardization inspection.

The Big Biscuit, 4821 W. Sixth St., Suite H, Lawrence, had nine priority violations during a Dec. 17 standardization inspection.

El Patron, 34429 W. 91st St., De Soto, Kansas, had nine priority violations during a Dec. 16 routine inspection.

Jasmine Garden, 8912 W. 95th St., Overland Park, had nine priority violations during a Dec. 26 routine inspection.

Dos Reales, 8841 W. 75th St., Overland Park, had eight priority violations during a Dec. 16 follow-up inspection.

Jen Jen’s Chinese Restaurant, 9066 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had eight priority violations during a Dec. 26 routine inspection.

The Blue Moose Bar & Grill, Prairie Village Shopping Center, 4160 W. 71st. St., Prairie Village, had seven priority violations during a Dec. 23 routine inspection.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill, 10586 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during a Dec. 17 routine inspection.

EZ Go, Interstate 70, mile marker 209, Interstate 70, Lawrence, had seven priority violations during a Dec. 18 routine inspection.

Le Peep, 7936 Quivira Road, Lenexa, had seven priority violations during a Dec. 19 routine inspection. It had one priority violation during a Dec. 31 follow-up inspection.

The Kansas City Health Department reports with seven or more critical violations:

Empanada Madness II, 13135 State Line Road, had seven critical violations during a Dec. 19 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a Dec. 23 follow-up inspection.

Family Mini Mart, market, 2221 E. 12th St., had seven critical violations during a Dec. 13 routine inspection. It had one critical violation during a Dec. 20 follow-up inspection and no critical violations during a Dec. 27 follow-up inspection.

Rockstar Burgers, 1611 Genessee St., had seven critical violations during a Nov. 27 routine inspection. The restaurant has closed so the report is no longer listed on the health department’s website.
