What Kansas City-area restaurants will be open over Christmas? We are keeping a list

We’re compiling a list of area restaurants open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

We’ll continually update this list, so send information in this format (restaurant name, address, opening and closing hours for both days) to jsmith@kcstar.com under the subject line: Christmas hours. Check with restaurants before making plans, because hours can sometimes change.

▪ Asado Urban Grill, Hilton Kansas City Airport, 8801 N.W. 112th St.

Hours: Breakfast buffet from 6 to 11 a.m.; lunch 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and dinner 5 p.m. to close. Special Christmas dinner from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. — salad, turkey, ham, sides and dessert for $32 a person.

▪ Boston Market. Nearly all the locations are scheduled to be open on Christmas Day for dine-in or carry-out. It will offer a traditional holiday meal featuring boneless ham, sliced roasted turkey breast or half rotisserie chicken with two sides, roll and a slice of apple or pumpkin pie for $13.99. A Market Feast meal for three people will be $39.99.

Hours: Noon to 5 p.m. Christmas Day.

▪ Buca di Beppo, Country Club Plaza, 310 W. 47th St. Regular menu plus special Christmas Day meal of garlic bread, salad and pasta for five people for $60.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

▪ Charlie Hooper’s Brooskide Bar & Grille, 12 W. 63rd St.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Christmas Eve; 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. Christmas Day

▪ Chaz on the Plaza, 325 Ward Parkway

Hours: Christmas Day 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. for breakfast and 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. for a special five-course Christmas dinner menu for $55 per person, and $18 for ages 12 and under.

The dinner will include a choice of five entrees — prime rib, grilled salmon, ham, Chilean sea bass (for $10 more), and Surf N Turf (for $25 more).

▪ Fogo de Chao, Country Club Plaza, 222 W. 47th St.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Christmas Eve, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Christmas Day with holiday pricing all day of $52.95.

▪ The Granfalloon Restaurant & Bar, Country Club Plaza, 608 Ward Parkway

Hours: 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Christmas Eve, and 5 p.m. to 3 a.m. Christmas Day.

▪ Kona Grill, Country Club Plaza, 444 Ward Parkway

Hours: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Christmas Eve and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Christmas Day with a Surf and Turf Special.

▪ J. Gilbert’s Wood-Fired Steaks & Seafood, 8901 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park

Hours: 3 to 8:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve (dinner service only). Closed on Christmas Day.

▪ Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar, 4814 Roanoke Parkway

Hours: 4 to 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Jax will offer its regular menu. It also will offer a “Feast of the Seven Fishes” menu from 5 to 8 p.m. for $65 per person that will include seven different kinds of fish in six courses.

Jax is closed Christmas Day.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Christmas Eve 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. Christmas Day

▪ McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steaks, Country Club Plaza, 448 W. 47th St.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Christmas Eve and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Christmas Day

▪ MetropolianKC, Kansas City Marriott Downtown, 200 W. 12th St.

Hours: 6 to 11 a.m. Christmas Day. Closed for lunch and dinner.

▪ Porto Do Sul, 11900 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park

Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Christmas Eve and noon to 6 p.m. Christmas Day.

▪ Princess Garden, 8906 Wornall Road.

Hours: 4 to 9 p.m. Christmas Eve, and 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Christmas Day.

▪ Providence - New American Kitchen, 1329 Baltimore Ave.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Christmas Eve. It will be open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Christmas Day with its full menu plus a prime rib dinner for $39 per person..

▪ Tavern in the Village, 3901 Prairie Lane, Prairie Village

Hours: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Christmas specials in addition to its regular menu during dinner.

Tavern in the Village is closed on Christmas Day.

▪ Tavern at Mission Farms, 10681 Mission Road, Leawood

Hours: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Christmas specials in addition to its regular menu during dinner.
