Dempsey’s Burger Pub to take over Westport Blanc Burgers spot

Dempsey’s Burger Pub on Thursday announced an agreement to take over the Blanc Burgers + Bottles location in Westport.

The two restaurants had been negotiating the transaction for several weeks. Dempsey’s, based in Lawrence, said it will purchase “all assets” and occupy the location at 4120 Pennsylvania by mid-July.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Steve Gaudreau, Dempsey’s owner, said he had been considering an expansion to Westport for some time. “Blanc operates a prime location that for us was worth negotiating for,” he said.

The announcement said the sale will allow Blanc to concentrate on its main location at 10583 Mission Road, as well as other projects.
