Multiple health code violations for local grocery store, a KC barbecue favorite and more

Here are recent Kansas City-area restaurant inspections. Inspections were compiled for Nov. 27.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations. Direct links are not available.

Cosentino’s Market, 8051 W. 160th St., Overland Park, had 16 priority violations during a Nov. 20 routine inspection.

Komotodo Sushi Burrito, 13713 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had 13 priority violations during a Nov. 19 first operational inspection after licensing.

China Taste, 816 E. Main St., Gardner, had 12 priority violations during a Nov. 20 routine inspection.

Raj Mahal Indian Restaurant, 118 S. Clairborne Road, Olathe, had 12 priority violations during a Nov. 14 routine inspection. It had two priority violations during a Nov. 15 follow-up inspection.

Mai Thai Restaurant, 12250 W. 135th St., Overland Park, had 10 priority violations during a Nov. 18 follow-up inspection.

The Burg & Barrel, 7042 W. 76th St., Overland Park, had nine priority violations during a Nov. 18 inspection following a complaint.

Casey’s General Store, 13406 W. 151st St., Olathe, had nine priority violations during a Nov. 19 routine inspection.

Fiorella’s Jack Stack Barbecue, 9520 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had nine priority violations during a Nov. 21 routine inspection.

Sonic Drive-In, 11555 Kaw Drive, Bonner Springs, had nine priority violations during a Nov. 18 routine inspection.

Johnny Cascone’s Italian Restaurant, 6863 W. 91st St., Overland Park, had eight priority violations during a Nov. 18 routine inspection.

7-Eleven, 6850 Antioch Road, Merriam, had eight priority violations during a Nov. 18 routine inspection.

Express Stop, deli, 5712 Independence Ave., had 13 critical violations during a Nov. 25 routine inspection.

Pad Thai Express, 1124 Oak St., had eight priority violations during a Nov. 20 routine inspection.

KC Pizza, 8793 Blue Ridge Blvd., had seven priority violations during a Nov. 12 routine inspection.
