A month ago, the new Crossroads Hotel was set to debut with two of its three restaurants — XR, a quick service operation in the bar area, and Lazia, a modern take on an old-world Italian steakhouse.
XR had already held a soft opening, and the hotel, at 2101 Central St., opened to great fanfare on Oct. 18.

But after a few pre-opening events, Lazia restaurant put a “pause on opening” and now plans to open on Nov. 23 for dinner only.
“This was an executive decision. We wanted to take the time to ensure we are putting our best foot forward,” said executive chef Remy Ayesh. “We are ready to open this Friday and we just can’t wait. We are super, super excited.”
She said Lazia has been fine-tuned from the top — service, menu, operations — “literally everything.”
Menu items will still include “all-stars” announced for the previous opening, including roasted Branzino.
