Crowley opens Overland Park furniture outlet
Crowley Furniture has converted one of its former locations into an outlet store.
The 22,000-square-foot store is in The Fountains shopping center at 6327 W. 119th St., Overland Park. It is carrying sofas, loungers, chairs, mattresses and some bedroom furniture. The items are discounted because of errors in custom orders, special vendor deals, scratches or dents, or other reasons.
“We have lots and lots of bargains,” said Greg Crowley, owner.
The outlet store is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays. It is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Charles and Marilyn Crowley opened their first store in Excelsior Springs in 1954. Their son, Greg Crowley, took ownership in 1985. His wife, Beth, joined the business in 2000 and then their daughter, Laura Crowley, in 2003.
They currently have locations in Lee’s Summit, Liberty and Overland Park. The Overland Park store was in the Fountains before relocating to Overland Park’s Corbin Park, at 135th Street and Metcalf Avenue, last year. Then the family decided to convert the former Fountains store into an outlet.
