Kansas, Kansas City restaurant and grocery store inspections for Nov. 15
Here are area restaurants with 7 or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.
Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for 7 or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available):
▪ Sprouts Farmers Market, 8550 Maurer Road, Lenexa, had 14 priority violations during a Nov. 7 routine inspection.
▪ Cosentino’s Market, 8051 W. 160th St., Overland Park, had 13 priority violations during a Nov. 2 first operational inspection after licensing.
▪ Sawasdee Thai Cuisine, 11838 Quivira Road, Overland Park, had 10 priority violations during a Nov. 6 routine inspection.
▪ Grand Street Cafe, 8815 Renner Blvd., Lenexa, had 9 priority violations during a Nov. 8 routine inspection.
▪ Chen’s Kitchen, 7166 Renner Road, Shawnee, had 8 priority violations during a Nov. 2 follow-up inspection.
▪ McDonald’s, 12091 Strang Line Road, Olathe, had 8 priority violations during a Nov. 7 inspection following a complaint.
▪ Original Pizza,11228 W. 135th St., Overland Park, had 8 priority violations during a Nov. 8 routine inspection.
▪ Pad Thai, 14319 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had 8 priority violations during a Nov. 8 routine inspection.
▪ Twisted Fresh, 22030 W. 66th St., Shawnee, had 8 priority violations during a Nov. 7 inspection following a complaint.
▪ Aloha Chopstix, 4316 Rainbow Blvd., Kansas City, Kan., had 7 priority violations during a Nov. 7 routine inspection.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for 7 or more critical health code violations:
▪ El Mercado Fresco, deli, 5117 Independence Ave., had 14 priority violations during a Nov. 2 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a Nov. 8 follow-up inspection.
▪ Staley Farms Golf Club, 10310 N. Olive Ave., had 11 critical violations during a Nov. 2 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a Nov. 9 follow-up inspection.
▪ Extra Virgin, 1900 Main St., had 9 critical violations during an Oct. 31 routine inspection. It had 3 critical violations during a Nov. 3 follow-up inspection and one critical violation during a Nov. 9 follow-up inspection.
▪ Avenues Bistro, 338 W. 63rd St., had 8 priority violations during a Nov. 6 routine inspection.
▪ Bojo’s Bar & Grill, 5410 N.E. Antioch Road, had 8 critical violations during a Nov. 1 routine inspection. It had 3 critical violations during a Nov. 8 follow-up inspection.
▪ Scratch Bakery KC, 310 W. Eighth St., had 7 critical violations during a Nov. 1 routine inspection. It had 2 critical violations during a Nov. 8 follow-up inspection.
▪ Wings Cafe, 3927 Broadway, had 7 critical violations during a Nov. 2 routine inspection. It had 5 critical violations during a Nov. 7 follow-up inspection.
