Kansas and Kansas City restaurant inspections for Aug. 28

Here are area restaurants with 7 or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for 7 or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available):

▪ B’s BBQ & Soul Food, 2110 N. 18th St., Kansas City, Kan., had 14 priority violations during an Aug. 2 licensing inspection. It had 6 priority violations during an Aug. 3 follow-up inspection.

▪ Dari Dine, 101 W. Kump Ave, Bonner Springs, had 11 priority violations during an Aug. 1 routine inspection. It had no priority violations during an Aug. 14 follow-up inspection.

▪ Callahan’s Pizzeria Pub Grill, 12843 W. 87th St. Parkway, Lenexa, had 10 priority violations during an Aug. 9 follow-up inspection.

▪ China One Express, 11176 Antioch Road, Overland Park, had 10 priority violations during an Aug. 7 routine inspection. It had 1 priority violation during an Aug. 21 follow-up inspection.

▪ Jasmine Garden, 8912 W. 95th St., Overland Park, had 10 priority violations during an Aug. 3 standardization inspection.

▪ Chen’s Kitchen, 7166 Renner Road, Shawnee, had 8 priority violations during an Aug. 4 follow-up inspection.

▪ Minit Mart, 10303 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kan., had 8 priority violations during an Aug. 7 routine inspection.

▪ Callahan’s Pizzeria Pub Grill, 11316 W. 135th St., Overland Park, had 7 priority violations during an Aug. 3 follow-up inspection.

▪ Payless Discount Foods, 2101 E. Santa Fe., Olathe, had 7 priority violations during an Aug. 3 inspection following a complaint

▪ KC India Mart, 8542 W. 133rd St., Overland Park, had 8 priority violations during an Aug. 2 routine inspection.

▪ Roll On Cafe, 9000 Woodend Road, Edwardsville, had 7 priority violations during an Aug. 3 routine inspection.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for 7 or more critical health code violations:

▪ Bar Louie Kansas City, Power & Light District, 101 E. 14th St., had 10 critical violations during an Aug. 7 routine inspection. It had 7 critical violations during an Aug. 14 follow-up inspection and 3 critical violations during an Aug. 17 follow-up inspection.

▪ Waldo Pizza, 7433 Broadway, had 10 critical violations during an Aug. 8 routine inspection. It had 3 critical violations during an Aug. 16 follow-up inspection.

▪ Los Corrals, 408 W. Ninth St., had 10 critical violations during an Aug. 11 routine inspection.

▪ Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants, Country Club Plaza, 4686 Broadway, had 7 critical violations during an Aug. 14 routine inspection.
