Kansas, Kansas City restaurant health inspections for Aug. 15
Here are area restaurants with 7 or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.
Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for 7 or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available):
▪ Roni’s Pub + Kitchen, 7955 E. Frontage Road, Overland Park, had 23 priority violations during an Aug. 2 standardization inspection.
▪ Tatsu’s French Restaurant, 4603 W. 90th St., Prairie Village, had 20 priority violations during an Aug. 1 standardization inspection.
▪ Price Chopper, 13351 Mission Road, Leawood, had 13 priority violations during a July 26 follow-up inspection.
▪ Planet Sub, 15157 W. 119th St., Olathe, had 12 priority violations during a July 26 routine inspection.
▪ El Paraiso Nightclub & Restaurant, 6550 Kaw Drive, Kansas City, Kan., had 11 priority violations during an Aug. 3 routine inspection.
▪ Sombrero’s Mexican Cantina, 22702 Midland Drive, Shawnee, had 10 priority violations during an Aug. 2 follow-up inspection.
▪ Wendy’s, 9510 Lackman Road, Lenexa, had 10 priority violations during a July 27 inspection following a complaint. It had 7 priority violations during an Aug. 9 inspection following a complaint.
▪ First Watch, 15289 W. 119th St., Olathe, had 9 priority violations during a July 27 routine inspection.
▪ Sonic Drive-In, 12090 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had 9 priority violations during an Aug. 1 standardization inspection.
▪ Winstead’s, 10711 Roe Ave., Overland Park, had 8 priority violations during an Aug. 2 standardization inspection.
▪ Chapala Mexican Restaurant, 105 S. Clairborne Road, Olathe, had 7 priority violations during a July 25 follow-up inspection.
▪ Pizza West, 5436 Roberts St., Shawnee, had 7 priority violations during a July 25 follow-up inspection.
▪ Lucky Wok, 15129 W. 87th St. Parkway, Lenexa, had 7 priority violations during a July 27 follow-up inspection.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for 7 or more critical health code violations:
▪ Johnny’s Tavern, Power & Light District, 1310 Grand Blvd., had 8 critical violations during a July 28 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during an Aug. 3 follow-up inspection.
▪ Knuckleheads, 2715 Rochester, had 7 critical violations during a July 29 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a follow-up inspection on Aug. 4.
