Kansas, Kansas City restaurant health inspections for June 23

Here are area restaurants with 7 or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for 7 or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available):

▪ Garrett’s, 6505 Nieman Road, Shawnee, had 14 priority violations during a June 13 routine inspection.

▪ Golden Palace, 1711 S. Mur-Len Road, Olathe, had 13 priority violations during a June 15 routine inspection.

▪ Carmen’s Cocina #2, 15926 Mur-Len Road, Olathe, had 10 priority violations during a June 12 routine inspection.

▪ Powerplay Family Entertainment Center, 13110 W. 62nd Terrace, Shawnee, had 10 priority violations during a June 14 follow-up inspection.

▪ Suzie Q, 6720 Kaw Drive, Kansas City, Kan., had 10 priority violations during a June 14 follow-up inspection.

▪ The Peanut, 12663 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had 9 priority violations during a June 14 routine inspection.

▪ Margarita’s, 7890 Quivira Road, Lenexa, had 8 priority violations during a June 14 routine inspection.

▪ Buckets, Great Wolf Lodge, 10401 Cabela Drive, Kansas City, Kan., had 7 priority violations during a June 14 routine inspection.

▪ Fast N Friendly, 1710 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kan., had 7 priority violations during a June 12 routine inspection.

▪ Ross’s Catering, Kansas City, Kan., had 7 priority violations during a June 14 routine inspection.

▪ Elvira’s Cakes, 3838 Independence Ave., had 8 priority violations during a June 13 routine inspection.

▪ China Feast, 6216 Troost Ave., had 7 priority violations during a June 13 routine inspection.
