Yard House

Yard House plans an April 25 opening in the Power & Light District.

The nearly 12,500-square-foot restaurant and bar, at 1300 Main St., will have an open floor plan featuring a mix of warm woods with stainless steel accents. A glass-enclosed keg room, kept at a constant 34 to 36 degrees, will house as much as 4,000 gallons of beer at one time.

The space, which will seat 318 people, also will have original abstract art by California artist Jerome Gastaldi.

Yard House will feature 130 beers on tap, including 32 selections from Kansas and Missouri breweries like Boulevard Brewing Co., Cinder Block Brewery, and Kansas City Bier Co. The Chalkboard Series will feature five hand-picked draft selections rotating frequently.

Menu items will include grilled burgers, tacos, steaks, seafood, salads and ribs.

Yard House, which was founded in 1996, currently has 58 locations with another opening in Indianapolis next week. The Kansas City location will be the 60th for the chain.

Yard House also has an area location in the Legends Outlets Kansas City in Kansas City, Kan.
