Arhaus has set a May 22 opening for its new 17,000-square-foot, two-story furniture store in Leawood.

The freestanding store is now under construction in Town Center Plaza , 5300 W. 119th St., between Bristol Seafood Grill and On the Border Mexican Grill.

When it opens, Arhaus will feature “lifestyle vignettes” of handcrafted furniture and accessories, including sofas, sectionals and chairs in a choice of leather or fabric, dining tables and chairs, outdoor furniture, bedroom furniture and private-label bedding, wall units and media centers, tableware, rugs, lighting, drapery and seasonal items.

But the showcases also will be “infused with the unexpected” — perhaps antiques from Indonesia and Paris, fresh florals, and hand-painted murals.

It will be the 55th location for the Cleveland-based retailer. The grand opening is scheduled for June 4.
