Men’s clothing store Jack Henry is set to close on Sept. 1, after 83 years on the Country Club Plaza.
Now Jack Henry’s owners plan to open another men’s clothing store in their building at 612 W. 47th St.
The Byron flagship store is scheduled to open in early fall. Jack Henry’s owners started selling the brand five years ago and said it has been their fastest growing line.
“We embraced everything they were doing. It’s been a bright spot,” said George Arvanitakis, a partner with his brothers, Spiro and Jerry, in Jack Henry Clothing P.S.A. Inc. “It is focused on a more modern, trimmer silhouette.”

The new store will feature mostly men’s clothing and accessories from the Byron’s British Style collection — including shirts, sportswear and shoes — but also a few other select brands including Southern Tide and Eton.
Byron will be on the first floor of the building. The second level will be reserved for the custom and made-to-measure showroom and tailor shop.
Arvanitakis said Byron was founded five years ago by a group of representatives for wholesale manufacturers of men’s clothing and it is currently headquartered in the Jack Henry building.
