Kansas, Kansas City restaurant health inspections for Sept. 8

Here are area restaurants with 7 or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for 7 or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available):

▪ Tanner’s Bar & Grill, 12906 W. 87th St. Parkway, Lenexa, had 16 priority violations during an Aug. 26 follow-up inspection.

▪ Silver Wheel Tavern, 8385 Penner Ave., De Soto, had 10 priority violations during a July 27 routine inspection.

▪ Burger King, 540 S. 129th St., Bonner Springs, had 9 priority violations during an Aug. 29 inspection following a complaint.

▪ Old Chicago Pizza and Taproom, 11721 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had 9 priority violations during an Aug. 29 routine inspection.

▪ On the Go, 9134 Woodend Road, Edwardsville, had 9 priority violations during an Aug. 15 routine inspection.

▪ Rye Restaurant, Mission Farms, 10551 Mission Road, Leawood, had 9 priority violations during an Aug. 16 routine inspection. It had 7 priority violations during an Aug. 30 follow-up inspection.

▪ Tavern at Mission Farms, 10681 Mission Road, Leawood, had 9 priority violations during an Aug. 16 routine inspection. It had 7 priority violations during an Aug. 30 follow-up inspection.

▪ Taco Via, 8896 W. 95th St., Overland Park, had 8 priority violations during a Aug. 15 routine inspection.

▪ Texas Tom’s, 2222 N. Seventh St., Kansas City, Kan., had 8 priority violations during an Aug. 29 follow-up inspection.

▪ Cocina Rio Verde, 115 Clairborne Road, Olathe, had 7 priority violations during an Aug. 10 follow-up inspection.

▪ Dunkin’ Donuts, 18051 W. 119th St., Olathe, had 7 priority violations during a July 28 routine inspection.

▪ Minsky’s Pizza Cafe & Bar, 13400 College Blvd., Lenexa, had 7 priority violations during an Aug. 30 routine inspection.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for 7 or more critical health code violations:

▪ Tasty Thai, 7104 N.W. Prairie View Road, had 10 critical violations during an Aug. 30 routine inspection. It had 1 critical violation during a Sept. 6 follow-up inspection.

▪ El Pueblito, 810 Southwest Blvd., had 9 critical violations during an Aug. 29 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a follow-up inspection later that day.

▪ One Eyed Jacks, 5044 N.E. Parvin Road, had 8 critical violations during an Aug. 29 routine inspection.

▪ IHOP, 4149 Sterling Ave., had 7 critical violations during an Aug. 26 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a Sept. 2 follow-up inspection.

▪ Plaza III The Steakhouse,, Country Club Plaza, 4749 Pennsylvania Ave., had 7 critical violations during an Aug. 25 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a Sept. 2 follow-up inspection.
