Kansas teen accused of throwing boiling water on boyfriend

Police arrested a 16-year-old girl after she reportedly threw boiling water on her 15-year-old boyfriend during an argument in south Wichita on Monday morning.

The incident occurred at about 9 a.m. Monday in the 3700 block of South Gilda Court, Lt. Dan East said. That’s just west of Hoover and north of MacArthur in southwest Wichita.

The boy was taken via private vehicle to the burn unit of Via Christi Hospital St. Francis, where he was admitted with second-degree burns, East said. Police weren’t notified of the incident until late in the day Monday.

The girl was arrested in west Wichita late Monday night.
