Crowder College announces partnership with Dale Carnegie

Crowder College Workforce Development last week announced a strategic partnership with Dale Carnegie Mid-South to launch a leadership and professional development initiative to strengthen local businesses and drive economic growth.

The initiative will kick off with an event at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, at the Joplin Advanced Training & Workforce Center, 3405 S. Hammons Blvd., Joplin.

Snacks and a program voucher for $100 off will be provided to those who attend.

"Our strategic partnership with Crowder College is one of the most innovative I've seen in over 30 years in the global leadership and professional development business," Dan Heffernan, partner at Dale Carnegie Mid-South, said in a statement. "Our bold aim is to ensure Southwest Missouri's current and future leaders combine the emotional intelligence and accountability skills necessary to drive the high-performance cultures our local economy demands."

According to Crowder, the program focuses on undertrained, high-value skills such as intentional empathy, team accountability and workplace cultural alignment.

Registration opportunities and details regarding available state-funded scholarship opportunities for regional employers will be coordinated through Crowder College Workforce Development.

Crowder College Workforce Development provides training, professional education and technical skills development to meet workforce demands of regional businesses and industries throughout Southwest Missouri.
