A teenager is in critical condition after the mini-scooter he was driving collided with a car, Kansas City police said.

Officers were called at about 9:12 p.m. Saturday to a crash in the area of 93rd Street and Wallace Avenue, according to the Kansas City Police Department.

A teenage boy was driving north on Wallace Avenue on a red Coleman CC100X mini scooter that didn’t have lights, police said.
