What to do about green mats left on my lawn by Google?
QUESTION:
OK, so Google Fiber has been through our neighborhood, tore up my lawn then covered the bare spots with green mats. Has anyone dealt with this? Do I water the mats? -- Cindy
ANSWER:
There is probably grass seed under the green mat. The mat is designed to conserve the ground moisture. Yes, you should water, especially after the grass seed germinates. Gradually decrease watering as the grass matures. Good luck. Carole – Johnson County Extension Master Gardener
