From Johnson County Extension:
The Emerald Ash Borer is spreading in Kansas City. If left untreated, it is estimated that EAB will kill 98% of the region’s 4.6 million Ash trees in the next 10 years. If you have an Ash tree (or 2, or 3, or more) what should you do?
Now is the time to assess your situation and determine the best course of action for you and your pocketbook. Learn about the spread of EAB into the area, your treatment options, when to treat, and about tree removal and replacement Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. at the Lenexa Community Center, 13420 Oak, in Lenexa. Dennis Patton, Johnson County K-State Research and Extension horticulture agent will speak. This class is free to attend, but advance registration is required. Register online by clicking here.
