Urban forester to discuss ‘What Your Backyard Tree Wants You to Know’


The Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City will present Chuck Conner, a Missouri Department of Conservation urban forester, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Country Club Christian Church to talk about local landscape trees that are suffering from the effects of drought and the threat of exotic tree pests such as the emerald ash borer.

The Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City will present Chuck Conner, a Missouri Department of Conservation urban forester, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Country Club Christian Church, 6101 Ward Parkway, to talk about local landscape trees that are suffering from the effects of drought and the threat of exotic pests.

Conner will offer tips on properly caring for new and mature trees.
