With its floor-to-ceiling windows, exposed brick and eclectic mix of hip furnishings, Supergirl Kara Zor-El’s studio apartment, on the CW channel’s “Supergirl,” would be the envy of any working girl. So much so that Ali Adler, the show’s executive producer, had to come up with a backstory for how Supergirl, (aka Kara Zor-El) affords it on her assistant’s salary at CatCo Media.
Adler told the Hollywood Reporter a few weeks after the show began airing in 2015 that in her mind, Mrs. Needleberg, who lives next door, is older and got the apartment in the building a long time ago and gives Kara a break on the rent.
“But also,” Adler added, “Kara doesn’t need to be worried about the area she lives in. If she’s looking over her shoulder for the guy following her, it doesn’t really matter.”
We’ve scouted products to help turn pretty much any studio apartment into a similarly super stylish loft.
