University of Missouri Extension workshop offers introduction to cut flowers

Are you a farmers market vendor looking for a way to complement your offerings throughout the season? Cut flowers could be the answer. The University of Missouri Extension is offering a workshop that will cover the basics of growing and marketing flowers.

The workshop will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 25 at 105 E. Fifth St., Suite 200.

The workshop will cover everything from site selection and soil testing to equipment and marketing. It will feature speaker Ethan Jones, owner of Wild Goose Gardens in Osceola, Mo.
