From the Archives: Plan envisions a place for children to play in 1907

This illustration of boys lining up to play on a proposed new playground ran with a news story on Page 3 of The Kansas City Star on Aug. 8, 1907. It described plans for the project along the Paseo between 17th and 18th streets.

“Swings and sand piles in large boxes are suggested,” it said.
