Are you becoming your dad? Tell us when you knew

As you get older, do you find yourself turning into your dad?

For Father’s Day, we’re looking for short-short true stories on this topic:

I knew I’d become my father when …

For example: Have you started wearing white socks with sandals? Is your bald spot starting to look familiar? Is the “wisdom” you got from your dad now coming out of your own mouth?

We’ll publish several I’ve-become-my-dad essays in The Star’s FYI section around Father’s Day, June 15. Keep them under 150 words, and please include your name, city and phone number as well as your father’s name (first and last) and current city. If your dad is no longer living, tell us that as well.

Email your essays to

starfyi@gmail.com

. Put “Becoming My Dad” in the subject line.

Deadline for submissions: 11:59 p.m. June 1.
