It's never easy to predict how a puppy will react to something completely new in their world, and oftentimes their reactions are undeniably hilarious. We expect silly excitement when a dog gets a fun new squeaky toy, and many pups have strong opinions about the vacuum cleaner. But what happens when the object causing all the drama isn't a toy or a loud appliance? What if it's just - a blueberry?

When a mini Bernedoodle takes on a lone blueberry, an adorable chaotic scene unfolds, and the internet can't look away.

original sound - Oreo

In a video shared on his very own TikTok account, @oreominibernedoodle, a pup named Oreo is wide-eyed and grinning at the opening clip as he performs an interpretive dance around the berry. He starts by literally hopping from side to side, prancing around the area, but never leaving the blueberry far behind.

Before long, Oreo moves into a series of paw swats at the offending piece of fruit, before playfully picking it up in his mouth, only to let it drop and start the shenanigans all over again.

Viewers are smitten with the hilarious showdown between Oreo and the blueberry. "The paw stomps are literally the cutest thing ever!! ," one enchanted viewer commented. "He got the best of both worlds!!! Food and a toy ," shared another.

Other viewers brought the jokes: "Thank God, he's not being dramatic over the situation," one shared. Nope... not at all dramatic. "Now that's what you call playing with your food so freaking cute ," another quipped.

Are Blueberries Safe For Dogs?

Blueberries are one of many safe fruits that dogs can enjoy in moderation, and actually offer some wonderful health benefits.

According to the American Kennel Club, blueberries are packed with antioxidants, fiber, and vitamins that can support a dog's overall health. Their small size, low calorie count, and naturally low sugar content make them an easy, bite-sized snack for your pup.

While your pup may be less apprehensive than Oreo, blueberries and other human foods should always be given in moderation, not as a primary source of nutrition. As with any new food, introduce blueberries slowly and monitor closely for any signs of digestive upset.

After all, the only thing better than a tasty treat is watching your dog decide whether it's a snack... or a brand-new toy.
