Get fuzzy: Match the Royals player with his facial hair
We’re No. 8?!
No matter what happens over the next few nights, the Royals will always be No. 1 with Kansas Citians. But in terms of hairiness, they’re in eighth place, according to a Washington Post analysis.
No. 1 in facial hair? The Post’s hometown team, the Washington Nationals. Funny how that happened.
Credit team unity or superstition or whatever, but there is a tradition of playoff beards. Our bearded boys in blue, however, don’t seem to have changed their shaving habits much since spring.
Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal ranked the Royals the least “hateable” team in the playoffs, partly because of their lack of “excessive beards,” but also because they haven’t been a contender in so long. Most hateable? The St. Louis Cardinals.
Regardless, now more than ever, it’s your duty as a Royals fan to know the players: See if you can match the facial hair with the Royals star.
