Police identify Kansas City man as victim of fatal afternoon shooting

Kansas City police have identified Roger Chandler, a 57-year-old Kansas City resident, as the victim of a fatal shooting Saturday afternoon.

Chandler’s body was discovered in the 3600 block of 12th Street near Askew Avenue by police responding to a call at about 4:30 p.m.

Kansas City Police Darryl Forté had said in a Twitter post that a suspect was in custody.
