Man sentenced for North Kansas City bank robbery
A St. Louis area man was sentenced Tuesday to five years and three months in federal prison for robbing a North Kansas City bank last June.
James A. Yokum, 44, pleaded guilty in December in U.S. District Court in Kansas City to stealing $600 from First Federal Bank at 1200 Armour Road on June 11, 2013.
He was arrested later that day after a Missouri Highway Patrol trooper stopped his vehicle on Interstate 70 in mid-Missouri.
