Man dies after struggle with Kansas City, Kan., police
A man died Thursday night after a struggle with Kansas City, Kan., police, according to a police statement.
The news release said officers made a car stop shortly after 6 p.m. in the 500 block of Stewart Avenue and determined that the driver was wanted on a criminal warrant. Police said the man attempted to flee and resisted arrest.
“After a brief struggle, officers noted he needed medical attention and rendered aid and called for EMS to respond to the scene,” the police statement said. “The suspect was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.”
The man’s name was not released. The case is under investigation by the major case unit.
