Snow moves into forecast during a freezing Monday in the Kansas City area

Monday temperatures will remain well below freezing, as a dusting of snow moves into the region, according to FOX4 meteorologist Karli Ritter.

The best chances for snow will be on the Missouri side of the state line starting Monday morning, said Ritter, who provides weather updates for The Star.

According to the National Weather Service, a trace of snow or up to 1 inch can be expected between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

By 4 p.m. Monday, temperatures should reach 17 degrees. The weather service said wind chills will be between -8 to 14 degrees.
