Warmer temperatures expected in Kansas City for the last big holiday shopping weekend
Temperatures will continue to warm up in Kansas City this weekend and stay clear for those hoping to finish their holiday shopping.
Lows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be in the 30s with high temperatures in the low to upper 50s, said FOX4 meteorologist Michelle Bogowith in a weather update for The Star.
On Saturday, the first official day of winter, the high temperature is expected to be 53.
“The first day of winter is not going to feel much like winter,” Bogowith said.
Friday and Saturday should start off cloudy before the sun comes out in the afternoon. Sunday is expected to be sunny with a high of 57 degrees, Bogowith said.
That warm weather may stick around into the early part of the week. Bogowith said she expects warm temperatures and clear weather on Monday and Tuesday.
On Christmas Day she said there is a slight chance for light rain or drizzle. She said she expects temperatures to drop closer to average for this time of year after Christmas.
