Presented by Tito’s Vodka, Friday’s Lemon Mixer benefits Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, which raises money to fight childhood cancer. The event at Grand Street in Kansas City starts at 6:30 and ends at 9:30 p.m., with a VIP reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with Alex and Jamie Gordon. You’ll be able to sip on signature lemonade cocktails and feast on appetizers while you listen to live music from The Voice semifinalist Mary Sarah, all in the name of a good cause. U.S. Figure Skating Championships
The 2017 U.S. Figure Skating Championships kick off Saturday in a ten-day event that takes place at Sprint Center and Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. Although the must-see events don’t start until Jan. 19, you can still watch juvenile performers in non-competition events at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena from 7:30 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. Jan. 14. Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
If you’re brave enough to withstand the predicted winter storm headed to Kansas City this weekend, you won’t want to miss the Chiefs’ playoff game at Arrowhead Stadium.
