Friday
Kansas City Symphony’s Christmas Festival
Hear the songs of the season Friday at the Kauffman Center with performances by the Kansas City Symphony and Symphony Chorus. Listen to guest vocalists and musicians perform classic Christmas carols at 8 p.m., and enter for a chance to win a jewelry prize from Helzberg Diamonds. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for kids and can be purchased here.
Christmas in the Park
Head to the Longview Lake Campgrounds for a Christmas display unlike any other. Christmas in the Park features more than 300,000 lights and 175 animated displays in a winter wonderland that would impress any Scrooge. The free light show is open from 5:30 to 11 p.m. For directions, click here.

West Crossroads Holiday Shop Hop
From 12 to 3 p.m. Saturday, shop for everyone on your list in the Crossroads Arts District where area shops will be offering 10 percent off all purchases. SantaCon KC
Saddle up your sleigh for this year’s SantaCon KC pub crawl, which starts at 4 p.m. in Westport. Wear your most festive Santa gear while you enjoy libations from Kelly’s, The Well, Lew’s, Tanner’s, Charlie Hooper’s, Ollie’s Local and Sol Cantina. Kansas City Southern’s Holiday Express Train
Santa Claus and his elves are headed back to Union Station this year on board Kansas City Southern’s Holiday Express Train. Guests can visit with Santa and tour the train for free Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sprint Festival Plaza. Click here for more information about the event.
