Olathe Fourth Fridays
Enjoy “The Dog Days of Summer” from 5 to 7 p.m. in downtown Olathe with Kansas City’s finest food trucks, including Beauty of the Bistro, El Tenedor and Twisted Tator. Bring your canine along for a photo opportunity or a “pet blessing” from Church of the Resurrection West. Kids activities will also be available, as will live music and booths from local artisans. Chipotle Cultivate Festival
From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, festival goers can enjoy live music, cooking demos from local chefs, food and goods from area artisans at Penn Valley Park. The impressive list of local chefs who will be providing demos throughout the day include Colby Garrelts, Andrew Zimmern and Carla Hall. Chipotle’s signature eats will also be available, as will food from Pizzeria Locale. More information about the festival can be found here.
Kansas City Fringe Festival
The annual Fringe Festival is back with an 11-day extravaganza celebrating film, dance, music and more in a number of events throughout Kansas City. The festival officially kicks off July 21, but shows will continue through July 31. Search the performances you want to see by venue or artist and purchase tickets here.
Pokemon Go Crawl
Get your phones out and be ready to “Catch ‘Em All.” The Pokemon Go app has been a hit among young and old lately, and now you can join the search for Pokemon from 3 to 8 p.m. in Westport. Tickets are $5 ahead of time and $10 at the door for exclusive specials at Kelly’s, Ale House, Ernie Bigg’s, Doughnut Lounge and more. The event will also include a fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City. For more information, click here.
