Friday
Food Truck Friday
Ring in First Friday with the best of Kansas City’s food trucks, from comfort food to Italian dishes and dessert. This Friday’s lineup includes Wilma’s, Cajun Cabin, Magnolias On The Move, El Tenedor, The Waffler Truck, Deco Street Eats, Bochi Truck, Poppy’s Ice Cream & Coffee House, Monk’s Roast Beef, Bluemoose, Little Italy KC, Boyers Artisan Meatballs, American Fusion, Taste of Kansas City BBQ, Simply Frosted, and Ollie’s Local. The food trucks will be on site from 5 to 8 p.m. in the parking lot of The Kansas City Star, located at 1729 Grand Blvd.
Middle of the Map Fest
Ink magazine’s annual music festival brings national and local talent to Kansas City in a three-day event. Jason Isbell, this year’s headliner, will perform at Uptown Theater at 9:15 p.m. To see the full lineup and schedule, click here. Saturday
KC Streetcar Anniversary
Celebrate one year of the KC Streetcar at Union Station’s family-friendly event Saturday. Bring the kids for an afternoon of games, bites from food trucks, art, balloons, giveaways and a birthday cake for the city to enjoy. The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free to the public. Click here for more information.
Simply Bloom
This year’s Bloom Party is no ordinary garden soiree. From 8 p.m. to midnight, enjoy creative cocktails from Clear10 Vodka and Lukas Liquors and cuisine from La Bodega at the Historic Firestone. Proceeds from the event benefit the Kansas City CARE Clinic, which provides healthcare access to under-served and under-insured members of the community. Tickets are $125 and can be purchased here.
