Look, up in the sky! Blue Angels at KC Air Show, glowing balloons at Liberty Memorial
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels at the Kansas City Air Show won’t be the only things taking to the skies in the Kansas City area this weekend.
Hot air balloons will join giant puppets for a weekend of free family entertainment on the grounds of the National WWI Museum and Memorial.
The StoneLion Puppet Theatre’s fourth annual Puppets a-Glow-Go will feature a drive-thru display of larger-than-life illuminated puppets on the U-shaped drive, 7-10 p.m. Aug. 18.
On Aug. 19, Kansas City’s Great Balloon and Puppet Glow will offer a walk-thru version of the puppet display (5-10 p.m.) as well as tethered hot air balloons firing up their burners as the sun sets. The grounds will open at 4 p.m., with live music, food trucks and an arts and crafts fair.
