Lee’s Summit ‘Christmas in the Park’ light show opens Wednesday with fireworks display

The 35th season of “Christmas in the Park” kicks off in Lee’s Summit on Wednesday. Located at the Frank White Jr. Softball Complex on 3901 SW. Longview Road, this drive-thru light show is expected to host thousands of visitors throughout the season.

There will also be a “Christmas in the Sky” fireworks display from 6-8 p.m. at Longview Lake Beach to celebrate the opening on Wednesday night. The show will feature performances from:

The light show starts at 8:20 p.m. following the performances. After Wednesday, it’ll be open from 5:30 to to 10 p.m. every Sunday to Thursday and 5:30 to 11 p.m. every Friday and Saturday until Dec. 31.

The fireworks show and light show are free for all to attend, and “Christmas in the Park” is free for the season. You can donate at the end of the light show if you choose to.
