Canadian Pacific Holiday Train returns to Union Station for the first time since 2019
The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is going on tour for the first time since 2019, and it will stop in Kansas City along the way.
After two virtual tours in 2020 and 2021, the transcontinental railway train decked out in holiday gear to celebrate the season and raise money for food banks across the U.S. and Canada is back in full swing. The train has 168 total stops across the two countries, including a 6:45 p.m. stop on Dec. 4 at Union Station. The train will leave the station at 7:45 p.m.
“We are excited to be back out on the rails and in our communities, taking these two beautiful trains across our network and sharing the joy that comes with gathering in the spirit of giving,” Keith Creel, Canadian Pacific’s President and Chief Executive Officer, said in a statement.”
Each stop brings a free live performance for visitors to enjoy. The performers for Kansas City are Lindsay Ell and JoJo Mason. The show will be at 7 p.m.
Canadian Pacific is asking everyone to bring a cash or non-perishable food donation if they’re able to. Local food banks will set up collection stations near the train for you to donate as well.
