Leading Kansas City new home builder Summit Custom Homes will host a grand Lot Release Event for the new Reserve at Ravenwood community in Olathe on Saturday, Sept. 10. The event will begin at 9 a.m. on the site of the new community, located on the east side of Iowa Street just south of 119th Street. Summit will unveil lot premiums for the highly anticipated new community at the event, and attendees will have the first chance to secure lot reservations and contracts to build a home in the community.
“We are thrilled to be opening the Reserve at Ravenwood for lot reservations and are excited for this event. Our team has been fielding inquiries for several weeks from families who have seen construction activity on the site and are interested in building in the area. With such a prime location in the Olathe School District and such competitive pricing, we expect lots to go quickly,” says Kristi Pinnick, director of sales for Summit Custom Homes.
Summit will unveil base pricing for available floor plans in the Reserve at Ravenwood on their website on Sept. 1. The community will feature plans from the builder’s award-winning Lifestyle Collection, with base prices starting in the $270s.
Floor plans from the Lifestyle Collection are thoughtfully designed and value-engineered to minimize waste and maximize value. Summit considered industry standards for dimension and weight of raw materials to design value-engineered floorplans that minimize waste and maximize value. The builder also included additional energy-saving technologies to create homes that are more than 15 percent more efficient than homes merely built to code.

Additionally, a series of preselected design packages created by Summit’s in-house designer streamlines the selection process for busy families. Buyers in the Reserve at Ravenwood will have the convenience of choosing their home's finishes and fixtures in one simple and fun meeting with their Community Manager. Summit will gather samples of every finish into one fully-equipped design space within the Community Information Center, eliminating the headache of travelling all over the metro to meet with multiple vendors.
Summit’s award-winning designer crafted stylish design packages that combine the latest trends and popular upgrades, taking the guesswork out of the process with perfectly coordinated packages that appeal to a variety of tastes. Buyers can also rest assured knowing that each choice will perfectly complement the overall look of their home.
The Reserve at Ravenwood is the first Summit Exclusive Community to be built on the Kansas side. Summit Custom Homes currently operates 12 Summit Exclusive Communities in Missouri, in which the company develops and maintains residential building lots and community amenities as well as serves as the exclusive new home builder.
As both the developer and the homebuilder, Summit is able to protect buyers in Summit Exclusive Communities from unexpected subsurface conditions by pledging to cover any additional expenses incurred from rocky Midwest soil. Additionally, the dual role allows Summit to assure buyers that the community and its amenities will be well-maintained over time and will grow with a harmonious aesthetic to create lasting value in their new home investment.
Summit will showcase four new model homes in the Reserve at Ravenwood. A model of the popular 1.5- story Bayfield plan will house the Community Information Center and models of the ranch-style Carbondale and two-story Palmer and Preston Ridge plans will be located next to it near the entrance of the community.
The lot release in the Reserve at Ravenwood also coincides with the release of a new floorplan in the Lifestyle Collection. The Palmer II is based off Summit’s popular Palmer plan with the added benefit of an additional bathroom on the upper level.
The Reserve at Ravenwood is located within the award-winning Olathe Public Schools district, across the street from Ravenwood Elementary and just down the street from Olathe Northwest High School. The community will feature a swimming pool and is five minutes from Mill Creek Streamway Park, which connects to scenic walking and biking trails along the 17-mile Gary L. Haller National Recreation Trail. A large shopping and dining complex offering a Walmart and nearly a dozen restaurants is five minutes south along K-7 at Santa Fe.
