There are few, if any, communities more deliberately and carefully designed for growing families than Rodrock Development’s Stonebridge, located between Ridgeview and Black Bob along 167th Street. Comprised of Stonebridge Meadows, Stonebridge Trails, Stonebridge Park, and Stonebridge Village, the overall community offers unparalleled amenities and a small-town camaraderie readily apparent to anyone who visits the one-of-a-kind neighborhood.

The Urban family stumbled across Stonebridge Park, discovering there was no settling anywhere else once they’d experienced the Rodrock difference.

“The neighborhood felt alive – not something I can easily articulate, but definitely something we felt compared to other neighborhoods we looked at,” Jamie says. “There was an energy to it. We loved our large lot with huge, mature trees, something that would take a lifetime to achieve anywhere else. Needless to say, the home we picked is beautiful!”

Katie and Branden Cox were likewise drawn, time and again, to Stonebridge Trails.

“As Branden and I were looking at houses, we always would end the day driving through Stonebridge,” Katie recalls. “Kids would always be outside playing and people hanging out. That was important to us. Our kids love to play outside, and this just felt like home.”

The Link family realized that other neighborhoods simply didn’t measure up when compared to Stonebridge. They found their perfect fit in Stonebridge Meadows.

“We love our cul-de-sac,” Shay Link says. “Every house has children, the neighbors are very friendly, and we do events annually as a neighborhood. The playgrounds are great, as we don’t have a play set in our yard. We can choose from different playgrounds to keep things interesting for our boys. And the neighbors we’ve met are wonderful. I feel safe in this neighborhood. I feel like my kids can play outside, and I know the other parents will be keeping an eye on my kids, as well as theirs. We all look out for each other.”

The beauty of the community and its homes and the friendliness of neighbors are only part of what sets the larger Stonebridge community apart, however. An expansive trail system links all four neighborhoods, offering residents an easy way to visit friends and make use of the extended development’s four pools, various playgrounds, and two richly appointed clubhouses. In fact, Stonebridge boasts a junior Olympic-size pool and water slide; zero-entry pools and changing cabanas; pergola-covered grills; picnic areas; hard-surface sport court; and well-equipped children’s playgrounds.

Also accessible from these trails is Prairie Creek Elementary School, which has won the Governor’s Achievement Award for more than four years. Darol Rodrock has dedicated adjacent land for a middle school now in the planning stages.

“We love that our sons’ elementary school is within walking distance of our house, the access to the three community pools, the play grounds, and the clubhouse,” adds Shay. “The location is great for us; close to where my husband teaches school, closer to my parents, and still in southern Johnson County.”

Stonebridge also brings residents together with the Rodrock Development Moms Council, a concept created by Darol decades ago to help neighborhoods get off to a great start. Annual year-round events, such as Memorial weekend pool parties and end-of-summer gatherings, help new neighbors get to know each other and have fun. Upcoming events, including Family Fun Flick Night, Halloween parties, and the famous Rodrock holiday horse-drawn hayrides, are already in the planning stages.

Fortunately, each community within Stonebridge has beautiful inventory – some ready for immediate occupancy. Stonebridge Meadows has a handful of fantastic abodes, including two two-story homes by Chris George Homes (both on lots over 17,000 square feet!) and a 1.5-story by Wynne Homes, complete with an optional fifth bedroom.

Meanwhile, Stonebridge Park has five homes ready to welcome new families, with several more within a month or two of completion. From gorgeous treed yards to coveted cul-de-sac lots, Stonebridge Park delivers.

Stonebridge Trails has an incredible five-bedroom home by JFE at the end of a cul-de-sac. An open floor plan and covered deck are perfect for entertaining, which is important on this active street! In addition, there are several great plans under construction by Gabriel Homes, Chris George Homes, and Rob Washam Homes at various stages of construction.

Come and discover what more than 600 happy families already know: There’s no better place for raising a family than Rodrock Development’s stunning Stonebridge.
