On Thursday, Rodrock Development helped ensure that 2015 got off to a sweet start for area real estate agents with its annual Realtor Appreciation Breakfast. Held at the Overland Park Marriot, some 600 agents gathered to enjoy good food, a bit of revelry and a bevy of surprises from a very thankful Darol Rodrock and his team.

“It’s such a fun way to get everyone together and kick off the New Year,” said Brenda Sanders, president of Rodrock & Associates, Realtors. “Major prizes are always given away as a token of appreciation for all the agents’ ongoing support.”

“The breakfast always brings together the most impressive group of Realtors, and this year was no exception,” said Judy Johns of Keller Williams. “The breakfast is almost like a little reunion, seeing so many old friends. If you think about it, really, in this age of technology, sometimes we don’t see the other agents. So the gathering let me catch up with old friends and meet new friends. At the end of the day, we’re one big Realtor community.”

“And I can’t forget to mention, it’s truly incredible how Darol is so gracious,” added Johns. “He comes from such a place of generosity. The prizes at this year’s breakfast were absolutely amazing. It was so exciting!”

But the generous prizes were only the start of the excitement that the breakfast had to offer. It also served as the perfect opportunity to share the exciting news of Rodrock Development’s new three-year sponsorship with Sporting Kansas City.

“Rodrock Development is very excited to partner with such an outstanding group that promotes Kansas City in such a positive way,” Sanders said. “We look forward to a lot of fun events surrounding our developments and The Darol Rodrock Foundation. The first home game for Sporting KC is March 8, and we will be in the stands rooting them on.”

Among the fantastic opportunities the sponsorship provides are a soccer clinic, an opportunity for Rodrock to take the field to discuss The Darol Rodrock Foundation, and the placement of donation bins in the Sporting KC parking lots. The bins will accept clothes, shoes, backpacks and more to benefit local foster-care children. Sporting KC events are a fun outing for families of all shapes and sizes — and now this championship team and Rodrock Development will seek to help those in need of families themselves.

The other message promoted at the breakfast — to much fanfare — was the news that 2015 is getting off to a strong start. Between the recovering economy, low interest rates, and a broadening homebuyer base, developments are already seeing high traffic, even though spring has not yet sprung.

Among the Rodrock Developments seeing a surprisingly early push is Forest View, located just west of Kansas 7 on 119th Street in western Johnson County. Atop a gently winding boulevard, just past a cascading 50-foot waterfall, natural rock bluffs, and lush greenery, Forest View makes quite a first impression. Comprised of The Estates of Forest View, The Hills of Forest View and The Meadows of Forest View, the community offers truly breathtaking views.

“At Forest View, we’re experiencing a strong start to the New Year,” said Bruce Stout, a Rodrock Development agent with new home sales experience of more than 20 years. “The number of clients touring our properties has progressively increased week by week since the turn of the calendar, and sales remained strong throughout January; all wonderful indications that the new construction market is strong and vibrant. With the recent break in the weather, our builders have really ramped up production preparing for a strong spring market.”

The biggest news is the opening of a new plat in The Hills of Forest View, which is slated for release in early spring. The new plat promises some truly incredible lots with breathtaking views. But for those interested in more immediate move-in possibilities, the community also has nine speculative homes in a variety of floor plans and layouts.

“Our inventory of spec homes deliverable within the 30- to 45-day period include properties in each of the distinct areas within Forest View: The Meadows of Forest View, The Hills of Forest View, and The Estates of Forest View,” Stout said. “Our inventory includes several two-story plans, a 11/2-story plan and several reverse 11/2-story plans, priced anywhere from $349,950 to $529,950.”

Stout said that with each new phase, buyers are increasingly becoming aware of all that Forest View has to offer. “People are beginning to realize the benefits of living off the beaten path, in a serene, nature-filled setting. We offer an incredibly beautiful setting in which the area’s highest quality home builders are excited to build. The community is well designed and truly beautiful in ways other developments simply can’t compete. We offer one of the few areas within Johnson County where you have immediate highway access, yet we are tucked back in the serene, treed hills away from the commotion of city life. We’re very excited about the upcoming year and what Forest View has to offer to the discerning homebuyer.”

The new year is truly a feast in the making for Rodrock Development, with exciting expansions in many developments, new friendships and partnerships, and — as always — a one-of-a-kind home-buying experience for even the most discerning buyer.
