Meadows at Searcy Creek offers villas near Northland architectural icon
Many homeowners want to find the right size home — one without a lot of extra rooms they no longer want or need. The Meadows at Searcy Creek is a community of villa homes being built to fill that niche.
Sometimes homeowners are concerned that a smaller place means sacrificing the upscale amenities and quality construction in their current homes.
“The villas planned for The Meadows at Searcy Creek are designed to offer quality construction with close attention to detail ensuring a delightful living experience,” said Tom Johnson, director of sales for The Meadows at Searcy Creek.
The main floor will feature a gourmet kitchen, spacious living room and two large bedrooms. Homeowners can also customize their home’s terrace level to meet the needs of their unique lifestyle.
Exterior maintenance of each home will be provided by the homeowners association. Lawn maintenance is provided all year around so owners can enjoy their free time and snow removal is taken care of during the winter.
The enclave-like community will have a limited number of 48 villas. Lot reservations and construction will begin this fall in what Johnson calls an “unparalleled community.”
Grove Development, located in Kearney, Mo., is the developer for the community.
“Owner Vance Fager draws upon his vast experience in health care administration for companies such as Hospital Corp of America,” Johnson said. “Grove Development is known for developing and managing premier senior and retirement developments in several states around the country.”
Cardinal Crest Homes & Design will be the exclusive builder. The company is a local custom-home builder that not only builds but designs all of its homes. The company specializes in new-home construction using the most current and innovative technology in the construction industry. Its process of computer 3D models and visualizations help customers better understand their unique, custom home.
“We will be your guide throughout the entire building experience: design, financial requirements, groundbreaking ceremonies, on-site walk-throughs, quality control and well into warranty,” said Adam Shaeffer of Cardinal Crest Homes & Design.
“We strive to create long-lasting customer satisfaction through innovation, integrity and ingenuity. We understand that building a home is much more than a business transaction. For that reason we listen to your needs, we incorporate your design concepts and we communicate at a level expected when making the largest purchase of your life. We make home building a fun experience.”
The Meadows at Searcy Creek is the location of the picturesque Kansas City Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, one of the city’s most celebrated landmarks. Each home site in the community offers a view of this architectural masterpiece, making the community a truly one-of-a-kind opportunity for prospective buyers, Johnson said.
“The grounds of the Temple are beautifully landscaped,” Johnson said. “In addition to trees, flowers and foliage, there are three serenity ponds, walking paths, benches and a stone pergola. That attention to detail and attractive landscaping will be carried throughout The Meadows at Searcy Creek community.”
Johnson has already had many inquiries about the 48 homes planned in this fully maintenance-provided community. Baby boomers who love to travel or visit family are especially interested in this unique opportunity to lock the front door, be at the airport in minutes and know their home will be maintained while they are away.
“This community is going to be highly sought after as the savvy buyer understands it is about location, location, location,” Johnson said, adding residents can travel to The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, Power & Light District, Country Club Plaza and Kansas City International Airport within 20 minutes. Business travelers also love that there are no stoplights between the community and the main entrance to KCI given the accessibility to I-435.
Shoal Creek Golf Course, Mosaic Life Center and Clayview Country Club, a private club, are all nearby. Also close to the community are the Shoppes at Shoal Creek along with Shoal Creek Valley Plaza, offering several choices for shopping, groceries, working out, banking and dining. Several new shops and restaurants will be announced soon.
