This spring has been unlike any other in Rodrock Development’s more than 35-year history. It started out with an absolutely stellar Spring Parade of Homes and has carried through with record-breaking sales in Rodrock Development’s 14 communities.

In fact, from January through April, there were a total of 87 sales – and that’s not including May, which is always a banner-selling month but whose sales weren’t tallied by print time. Even characteristically slower winter months found sales agents fantastically busy. In fact, there was an astounding 25 sales in February and 26 in March.

Olathe’s Grayson Place has had a stupendous 2016 thus far, in part, theorizes community manager Craig Hauser, because the community caters to residents at every stage of life.

“We offer a choice of home types depending on buyers’ lifestyles: single-family homes, maintenance-provided villas, and four-plexes that offer zero-entry access (no steps) from the garage all the way to the master shower.”

The community also boasts wonderful builders, Craig says, including Gabriel Homes, Prieb Homes, James III Homes, Chris George Homes and Keystone Homes. “Buyers love to work with these builders because they provide an amazing home, all while listening to what buyers need, so each home is customized to their distinctive lifestyles.”

Simply put, there’s so much to love about Grayson Place, Craig says. “We offer beautiful home sites close to schools. In fact, the grade school is just across the street on the other side of 119th Street and the middle school and Olathe Northwest are minutes from here. Grocery stores, big-box retailers, and every pizza place known to mankind are just four minutes away. Major highway access to destinations throughout the metro – including K-10, K-7, 135th Street, 119th Street, and College Boulevard – are just minutes from here.”

And it goes without saying that the community’s incredible amenities – including two pools, paved trails, and a clubhouse with a workout area – plus an active Homeowners’ Association and Rodrock Development Moms’ Council appeal to families of every shape and size.

But Grayson Place wasn’t the only community to see a surge in buyers. Olathe’s Stonebridge Meadows also is enjoying a spring blossoming with buys.

“With a base lot price of $65,950, buyers are finding our community very desirable,” says Robyn Schraden, a longtime Rodrock Development marketing agent. “Spring Hill schools and impressive amenities – including four pools, two clubhouses, playgrounds, and sports courts, all linked by paved trails – are really driving traffic! We’ve had a surge in build jobs while still having great activity and sales on our spec homes.”

Much of the traffic, which transitioned to sales, was thanks to a phenomenal Spring Parade of Homes, Robyn says. “It was easily the best we have seen in quite some time!” Robyn said.

Forest View has likewise benefited from a stellar spring, reports Bruce Stout, one of the community’s managers. In fact, Forest View has averaged around four new home sales per month since the beginning of 2016.

“Boasting two Grand Award Winners with JFE Construction’s Silverton IV and the Hillman Home Building’s Chesapeake II.1, along with the Runner-Up Winner, James Engle Custom Homes’ Laurel II, our newest model row in The Hills of Forest View offers some of the best options available in the metro area,” Bruce says. “We’ve received an amazing response to our Parade of Homes success.”

Now thanks to the opening of the last phase of Hills lots in the southwest corner of Forest View, there’s an ample supply of lots ranging in price from the low $70s through the upper $120s.

“The options are plentiful,” Bruce says, “with walkouts backing to heavy timber and flat lots within cul-de-sacs. We’re also excited to announce the release of the final phase in The Estates of Forest View within the next 30 to 45 days – and they will truly be spectacular!”

Between the phenomenal Spring Parade of Homes and the record-breaking sales, Rodrock Development – and its new residents – is celebrating. But they’re not the only winners. During the Spring Parade, parade-goers who visited a Rodrock Development were entered into a drawing to win a trip for two to visit Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Market at The Silos – including round-trip flights for two, a $500 gift card to Magnolia Market, and two night’s accommodations. Lucky Debbie Neill of Olathe was chosen, making this a spectacular spring all around!
