Experience, honesty and trust are integral to the Dunn Holland Team’s success

When Janet Keefer of United Missouri Bank had a property in rural Miami County to sell, she turned to Jim Holland and Teresa Dunn of the Dunn Holland Team with Crown Realty. Her property was a home on acreage, which sold within one of week of listing. Keefer said she was very happy with the results.

“I thought they were great,” she said. “Jim and Teresa are experts on that kind of property and they understand the process. As a seller, that is what you need – someone who can get it sold and get the deal closed.”

The Dunn Holland Team of professional agents has more than 50 years of combined experience connecting the dots between buyers and sellers in Kansas and Missouri. Whether you’re buying or selling estate homes, farms, ranches or vacant land, the Dunn Holland Team at Crown Realty has the experience to help, Dunn said. “Our team of professionals live, work and of course, enjoy the opportunities Kansas City has to offer,” she added.

Closing the transaction is what the team particularly enjoys, and is also something at which it excels. Dunn and Holland have been professional partners in real estate for several years and attribute much of their success to the team’s “never say die” attitude. “We go the extra mile to get the transaction closed,” Dunn said. “We consider that our motto!”

Enthusiasm, honesty and trust are other attributes that the Dunn Holland Team bring to work with them each day. They care a lot about what they do, as trust matters to the Team, Dunn said. Both Holland and Dunn hail from prominent, business-oriented families with deep roots in Kansas City. Jim Holland was president of Holland Corporation. After he retired, he found real estate was a natural fit for him. Teresa Dunn has a lot of family in the area and is well acquainted with many local professionals. Both have many personal contacts throughout the Kansas City region.

While land contracts and rural estate properties around the Kansas City area have been a mainstay of its business, the team has closed four large southern Johnson County land properties in just the last six months. Holland said the recent uptick in the resale market means their current listings run the gamut from single-family listings to land parcels of all sizes in Kansas and Missouri.

The Dunn Holland Team was honored to represent the Deffenbaugh Estate in western Shawnee. The estate offered 103 acres with a palatial mansion, a 40,000-square-foot outbuilding, and an eight-stall horse barn … all with high security iron fencing surrounding the entire property. They fielded calls from around the world, Holland said.

The team believes the improving economy means developers are back at work buying up land for future investment. Individuals and investors are encouraged by the strong economy and are looking to buy property they always wanted, Holland said.

“Buyers and sellers are finding the 1031 Exchange to be very helpful for tax deferrals,” Holland said. “Buyers right now have cash and are using it to purchase additional property. We are seeing more land being bought for hunting and other recreational purposes,” adding that many clients are looking for second homes on acreage away from the city.

The Dunn Holland Team of professionals lives, works and, of course, enjoys the Midwest area, according to Dunn. “Our associates are backed by experience, knowledge and training, with access to up-to-date information resources utilizing the latest technology available,” she said. “We understand that exceptional customer service means doing the right thing for our clients at the right time, every time!”
