New-home buyers have been flooding the market for the past couple years and frequently snapping up inventory homes before they’ve been completed. One way to avoid losing out on the new home you’ve set your heart on is to build a custom home from the ground up — a trend that long-time builder Jeff Robinson expects to take hold this year.

If one of your 2015 goals is to build that dream home, now is the time start and Robinson’s building company, JS Robinson Fine Homes, is ready to help you. For 27 years, the award-winning company has been building homes throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area in all sorts of price ranges that fit the budgets from families just starting out to homes priced in the millions.

Since the beginning, JS Robinson Fine Homes has had one primary goal: to provide the finest. That means building homes of exceptional value in communities offering the best amenities possible and located in highly rated school districts while also providing an exceptional building experience for clients.

Because of Robinson’s commitment to providing the best possible homes, he is one of the select few builders chosen to craft a home for the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City’s first Artisan Homes Tour.

The Artisan Homes Tour, which will raise funds for Ronald McDonald House, is a new event that will take place in September. JS Robinson Fine Homes will feature its Artisan Home in Summerwood Estates in south Overland Park and it will display the latest in home design, interior decor and outdoor living spaces.

This is just one of numerous honors that JS Robinson Fine Homes has received. It is a perennial winner for top awards from the HBA during the Spring and Fall Parades of Homes each year.

One of the reasons that Robinson continues to be recognized as a premier builder is because he stays on top of the latest trends in the industry. This past week he traveled to the National Association of Home Builders International Builders Show, where he attended seminars on the latest techniques and toured exhibits of the most innovative new products.

He has been an active member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City throughout his career and has served on its board, and also is a member of the National Association of Home Builders. He is thrilled that this year a local builder, Tom Woods, is president of the national association.

Robinson also prides himself on having built long-term relationships with his employees, trade partners and vendors which has allowed him to provide excellent value and exceptional service to his clients. The majority of the JS Robinson Fine Homes team and trade partners have been with the company for many years, some for 20 years, through all of the economic variables of the housing industry. These craftsmen are committed to providing quality homes and attention to detail, whether the home is priced at $300,000 or more than $1 million.

JS Robinson Fine Homes has an extensive portfolio of home plans that include two-story, 11/2-story and reverse plans, all of which can be customized to fit clients’ lifestyles and budgets. The company’s design center allows homebuyers to select the finishes and decor that suit their tastes.

“I have the most fun building homes for people who desire a particular home with certain amenities but want to work within a fixed budget,” Robinson said. “It’s fun to make sure that they have everything they need and want while staying within their price range.”

Robinson’s commitment to excellence extends to the communities where he builds. He carefully chooses each to ensure that it offers the best possible amenities, a convenient location and excellent schools.

The newest communities where Robinson plans to build are Mills Crossing, a Matt Adams development at 159th Street and Switzer Road, and Summerlin Estates, an executive community of estate homes in western Shawnee. JS Robinson Fine Homes also is starting construction of new homes in Forest View, a Rodrock Development community in Olathe that offers the extensive amenities for which Rodrock Developments are known.

Other communities where the company is now building include Blue Stem in Overland Park; the Estates of Falcon Ridge, Bristol Ridge and the Enclave of Woodland Lakes in Lenexa; Bristol Valley and Ridgestone Meadows in Shawnee; and Cedar Creek in Olathe.
