Canyon Creek offers large variety for Parade of Homes

Since its rave reviews and overwhelming success during the 2015 Fall Parade, homebuyers have taken notice and are making Canyon Creek their first stop this spring. Five of Canyon Creek’s model builders received a combined ten awards during the 2015 Fall Parade.

This master-planned residential community is comprised of over 400 lots thoughtfully planned with an eye for natural beauty, highlighted by over 70 acres of beautiful, rolling and wooded terrain in and around the neighborhood.

As housing construction flourishes in this revitalized Lenexa neighborhood, Canyon Creek is blossoming into a premier metropolitan community.

“Response to the affordable lot prices and wide selection of spec homes has been incredible,” stated MaraDona Wood, co-marketer with partner Debbie Sinclair. “Prospective homeowners have been eager to take advantage of exceptional opportunities that became available only a few months ago. Lot reservations and home sales continue to increase as more and more homebuyers discover what Canyon Creek has to offer.”

There is a multitude of desirable home sites at Canyon Creek, including treed, lakefront, greenbelt, walkout and daylight lots. Over half are located on private cul-de-sacs, and over a third back to city parkland. Lot prices range from the upper $60,000s to the mid-$100,000s.

Homes are situated on curving streets and private cul-de-sacs, carefully designed to respect the contours of the land and oriented to provide views of open space. Inside the neighborhood, thoughtful residential enclaves that blend distinctive architecture with nature’s beauty create a truly exceptional living environment. Next to Canyon Creek, paved trails along the forested shoreline of 7-acre Mize Park Lake delight walkers, joggers, bicyclers, fishermen and nature lovers.

Last fall, Prime Development announced the opening of their fourth phase with 40 new home sites in Canyon Creek Highlands, and 13 highly-coveted treed, lakefront home sites within Canyon Creek Shores.

“With the opening of these new phases, customers’ interest and enthusiasm has surpassed our highest expectations. In April alone, we have written 16 contracts, making it 31 home sales since the first of the year,” said Wood.

As sales and demand continue moving at unprecedented levels, Prime Development is working to follow suit with an additional phase of 75 new home sites within Canyon Creek Highlands, and 90 new maintenance-provided villa sites in Canyon Creek Point. Future phases are expected to open fall 2016 or early 2017, and will offer a mix of walkout, daylight, and level options, backing to either greenspace, trees, or lakefront.

Residents of Canyon Creek Lake, Park, and Shores, enjoy a three-acre amenity complex featuring a large free-form pool with a sparkling fountain, swimming area with a shallow “reef ledge” feature, an expansive sundeck, a pergola, and a Prairie-style cabana building flanked by two covered porches offering a shady reprieve from the sun.

Other recreational features include a park-grade playground, basketball court and a large, open recreational play field.

Canyon Creek Highlands offers residents a community pool featuring a gradually sloped beach entry welcoming children and parents alike. Accompanying the pool complex is an attractive Tuscan-styled cabana featuring a covered seating area for gatherings. Highlands residents can also enjoy two private lakes with private walking trails, and greenspace. Other recreational features include a basketball court.

For this year’s Spring Parade of Homes, Canyon Creek has entered five homes for judging. Homebuilders entered include James Engle Custom Homes, Summit Custom Homes, Roeser Homes, and C&M Builders.

Canyon Creek has distinguished itself as the premier new home community in the city of Lenexa, which itself received national recognition when Business Week magazine named the city as the “Best Place to Raise Kids” in the state of Kansas. Located just off K-10 highway, one mile west of K-7, Canyon Creek provides quick and easy access to highway networks and close proximity to dining, entertainment, and recreational opportunities at nearby Lenexa parks.

When deciding to purchase a home in a Prime Development community, prospective buyers can feel secure they are investing in a Johnson County based real estate company with a long-running, financially secure history. Prime Development’s success through good and trying economic times is rooted in a philosophy of providing the right product in the right location at the right price, and building distinctive neighborhoods that exceed customer expectations.
