Ready for the Parade with Phase 30, six new models

Winterset is eager to show a half dozen of its newly built executive homes in the annual Spring Parade of Homes by the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City, which runs April 23 through May 8.

Winterset Valley, one of the five Winterset neighborhoods on the west side of Lee’s Summit, opened phase 30 with 53 executive homesites, half of which have already been spoken for. The range of special features in each of these uniquely built, executive homes include trending colors, shiplap, new style light fixtures and sliding barn doors, which are popular now in more expensive homes.

“While we recognize the majority of folks coming through the parade are getting design ideas, we believe this is a very beneficial way to expose people to new ideas and new lifestyle choices,” said David Gale, President of Gale Communities, Inc.

“In the spring, I’d say 60 to 70 percent of new home sales decisions are made. The combination of the KCHBA Parade and our beautiful Missouri weather this time of year generates a lot of traffic through our new homes.”

With interest rates still amazingly low, new homes are being snapped off the market at a rapid rate. The history of success in the five Winterset neighborhoods over the last 25 years has made it an attractive stop for new home buyers in the annual Spring Parade of Homes.

For 53 years, the Spring Parade of Homes has been a Kansas City tradition, offering generations of homebuyers the opportunity to view the latest in new home designs and innovations from the area’s finest homebuilders. All homes will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and admission is free.

“Winterset has always been a strong advocate of the parade, both because the exposure is beneficial to our sales success, and it provides an unpressured opportunity to families to view a range of life style choices in addition to current design ideas for their current home … some could view it as a public service,” Gale said.

As with the previous 29 phases, the Winterset home builders in phase 30 take pride in constructing, eye-pleasing, unique homes that appeal to families at different stages in life.

Some of the homes featured in the 2016 Spring Parade of Homes include the James Engle Custom Homes Laurel II plan with Hampton elevation is listed at $506,540. This plan offers fully equipped kitchen with island, pantry with prep area and butler area.

The reverse executive home built by Pfeifer Homes is located in a prime spot on the 100-acre woods. Priced at $649,900, the home features a fireplace, a covered patio and a covered deck, which is perfect for entertaining family and friends.

Two homes that are perfect for different stages of family life are the Chateau by Signature Builders and the Madison by Gale Home Builders.

The Signature Chateau is the reverse 1 ½-story dream home for people who have older kids or empty nesters. The main level has incredible entertaining space and a big master suite and an additional room that can be a bedroom or an office.
