Good things come to those who wait, or so the saying goes. So it’s only fitting that it took the Stutzman family two years of searching for a new home after departing Florida with their twins.

“After extensively viewing many new housing developments, Rodrock Development’s Stonebridge Trails was the only one that stood out as a true community,” says Dawn Stutzman. “Since moving in a year ago, we’ve truly enjoyed all the benefits of this wonderful neighborhood and all it has to offer, including four pools that cater to every age group. We’ve made many lifelong friends and really feel a sense of belonging.

“Many a summer evening, we’ve enjoyed family time with our neighbors in our cul-de-sac or at the pool and park. We’ve joined in all of the major holiday festivities and love walking to our beautiful elementary school. This has been the best move we have ever made!”

It’s a story echoed by Steven Miner. “We were talking with Joan Jacquin, one of the community managers at Stonebridge Trails, and she immediately sold us on the Moms’ Council,” he says. “We have two small children, and the neighborhood we previously lived in didn’t have a lot of younger children. The amount of focus this community puts into the children was exciting. When we drove through the neighborhood, we were thrilled to see the all of the families not hiding indoors but actually out with their children playing and interacting with one another.”

Even though the Miners have only lived in Stonebridge Trails a short while and mostly during winter season, they have found that the neighborhood is filled with the laughter of young children whenever they step outside on a nice day.

“To know my kids have the opportunity to get outside and find new friendships is so important to us,” Steven says. “We work for a technology company, and we hear about the amount of time families spend behind their devices, but you don’t see that with this area.”

And there’s plenty to keep families outside and engaged. As part of the larger Stonebridge community, Stonebridge Trails is laden with amenities. Residents have access to an impressive four pools (all zero-entry, one with a Junior Olympic-sized pool, slide and a fountain), changing cabanas, various playgrounds, separate basketball and volleyball areas, pergola-covered grills, picnic areas, several well-equipped children’s playgrounds and two richly appointed clubhouses, one with workout facilities. Another bonus? Paved trails lead directly to Prairie Creek Elementary School, which has won the Governor’s Award an impressive three times.

And while the housing market is heating up, Stonebridge Trails is lucky to have a handful of homes at the ready, says community manager Joe Stephenson.

Among them is the Creekside III by JFE Construction, ideally located on a daylight lot, and some 75 days from completion. With four bedrooms, a large, open kitchen with an abundance of cabinetry, and a lower level with two bedrooms, a family room, and “card room,” there’s so much to love about this house – and all for just $421,904.

Also on daylight lots are the Laurel II by Chris George Homes and the Fallon by Gabriel Homes. Both reverse 1.5 story homes boast four bedrooms, three bathrooms, open Great Room and a family room – and are only 75 days from completion.

The Stonebrook by Burkdoll Builders is about 60 days from completion, Joe adds, so interested homebuyers still have time to pick out lights, flooring, cabinets, and other interior finishes. “This four-bedroom home features formal dining with a butler’s pantry, a huge great room with built-ins, a covered outdoor living area, and a Master bedroom with two huge closets – all for just $359,950.”

However, these homes won’t stay vacant for long. As the Miners and Stutzmans can attest, this community is like no other on the market.

“Stonebridge Trail’s location is great; we almost feel like we are in the country but still a part of the city,” Steven says. “It’s quiet, low traffic, with a new elementary school nearby and a lot of growth potential. Our neighbors are super friendly, you always see people waving at one another as they drive by, stopping to chat, welcoming you to the area, and genuinely being great people. We have friends who were in the community before we arrived, so between their praise for the area and what we saw, we knew this was where we wanted to plant our roots and have, as my wife tells me, ‘our forever home.’”
