With over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, agent Sharon Sigman has seen it all—the highs, the lows, the steady flows, and one thing homebuyers and sellers might not have considered—national elections.
Always working to strengthen her skills and to add and offer services and resources that aptly meet the needs of her clients, Sigman last year joined forces with REMAX State Line.
“For many years I had my own office and we did very well. But by joining with REMAX, one of the most recognized and respected national and international real estate brands, we could expand our services and outreach,” Sigman said. “Additionally, we liked the fact that all of the realtors here are full time. In other non-REMAX offices, most agents have another full-time job, or only do a couple of transactions a year.”
In addition to Sigman, her wonderful team also includes two licensed transaction coordinators, Melinda Watkins and Tate Bush. Together, they have the knowledge, talents, and expertise to cover most of the Greater Kansas City area.

“Home sellers who list with our team have maximum exposure to reach buyers through more than 30 websites and 500 domain names,” explains Sigman, “so we definitely have the resources available to capture the right leads for our listings.” Among the former are www.formls.com, providing an easy and accurate search of homes for sale in the area, www.homesinkasncity.com, and www.kchomes.net. She also advertises extensively in print publications.
The following demonstrates the quality of the REMAX State Line agents and their strengths in the marketplace:
▪ Over 40 percent are in the top 20 percent of all Heartland Multiple Listing Service (HMLS).
▪ 56 percent earned $50,000+ in earned commissions in 2015.
▪ 36 percent earned $100,000+ in earned commissions in 2015.
▪ 8.5 percent earned $250,000+ in earned commissions in 2015.
Moreover, together, the average performing agent generated over $5 million in weekly closed sales volume for 2015, and closed 23 deals per week in the same year.
Sigman’s success speaks for itself. She ranks in the top 0.5 percent of all HMLS agents in units, and in the top one percent in volume. The office also ranks second in per agent volume within all top 20 brokers.
Sigman, whose slogan is “The left-handed Realtor for the right move,” has a reputation for providing detailed customer service throughout her career. Bush and Watkins, with whom she has worked for nearly 10 years, also provide a wealth of experience.
Among the homes they are currently representing is a beautiful, move-in ready, craftsman-style, reverse 1- 1/2-story home by builder Mike Crawford. Located at 20956 West 112th Terr. in Olathe, the home encompasses an approximately 3,000 square foot, open floor plan with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a three-car garage. This lower level walkout home is priced at $434,900.
Those desiring a bungalow ranch-style home will love the hardwood floors, newly covered porch, updated garage, and partially-finished basement in a lovely Brookside home near 63rd and Main St., priced at $130,000.
Coming on the market soon in Prairie Village is a lovely three-bedroom, two-car garage home. Priced at $159,000, this home is highlighted by lofty ceilings in the family, dining and living rooms, and new windows, and is located near Shawnee Mission East High School.
Because homes are selling so quickly, Sigman said it is essential that buyers work with an experienced Realtor to find their perfect home. She and her team can find available homes that fit the buyers’ criteria and help them to quickly negotiate with the seller before another buyer snaps it up.
Sigman stays on top of the latest technology to make buyers aware of what’s available in today’s fast-paced market, including an App that allows buyers to see homes listed in a specific area. The App lists open houses, shows numerous photos of specific homes as well as detailed descriptions, and can map a route to the home.
“The market is really strong right now, and there has been a great deal of activity this winter,” Sigman said. “We expect it to continue with spring just around the corner, coupled with the growing number of buyers who are ready to take advantage of the still favorable interest rates. We have not doubt that 2016 is going to be a fantastic year!”
