Lime Stone Road Townhomes entered its first Parade of Homes many years ago and came away with Community of the Year accolades.

The property has aged very well since that time, collecting awards as the best maintenance-provided product by the Parade of Homes judges, a Grand Award winner for its landscaping presented by the Mid-America Green Industry Council and Links Magazine’s best golf community for convenience to city life.

Come see for yourself what everyone else is writing about.

Lime Stone Road Townhomes is part of the nationally recognized National Golf Club of Kansas City in Parkville. Its rolling terrain, breathtaking views, natural habitat, award-winning Park Hill School District and, of course, its Tom Watson Signature Golf course are just a few reasons why The National stands apart from all other developments, the marketing team said.

Buyers may select from several floor plans. Along with the numerous floor plans offered with the community’s traditional product, buyers can also choose from a new concept. A limited offering of eight stand-alone maintenance-provided townhomes are available. Four have been sold since they were introduced three months ago These new townhomes have no common walls and offer an optional three-car garage.

The current inventory offers walkout and daylight lower levels. As with the existing townhome product, the stand-alone homes offer an open feeling as you enter the front door with high ceilings, a large expanse of windows, and efficient living spaces with the kitchen, great room and master suite on one level. Standard finishes feature custom cabinetry, granite counter tops, hardwood floors and GE appliance packages.

Residents of The National’s maintenance-provided communities have time to shop and play golf because they never have to take time out of their lives to paint their home, repair the roof, fix or clean gutters, mow, mulch, trim, fertilize or even remove snow from the sidewalks and driveways.

Two residents who took advantage of everything LimeStone Road Townhomes has to offer are Bob and Sue Martin. It took a few years and a circuitous route to move to the Lime Stone Road Townhomes, but they are happy their journey ended there.

“My wife works for Cerner and several years ago, they wanted the executives to move to Kansas City,” Bob Martin said.

The Martins enjoy the small-town atmosphere of Parkville and the serenity of the Lime Stone Road Townhomes.

“We wanted to live somewhere that we never had to worry when we left for vacation, work or just a quick get-away and LimeStone Road Townhomes gave us this ability,” Sue Martin said. “To leave without worrying about getting the lawn mowed or the snow shoveled is the way to enjoy life.”

And they added since they no longer have to maintain their yard, they are saving money. “People just don’t realize how much it costs to own and maintain lawn equipment or a snow blower,” she said.

“Parkville is just such a great town,” Bob Martin said. “It’s kind of a hidden secret. It is quiet up here and we see deer and wild turkey all the time. Our townhome overlooks the Deuce and we have great views of the golf course.”

And the location is second to none, convenient to anything a resident could desire. Less than 5 minutes away residents can shop for basic necessities at Parkville Commons, a 250,000-square-foot retail center anchored by a Price Chopper grocery store. Residents can pick up dry cleaning at Pride Cleaners, find everyday needs at Walgreen’s and dine at Nick-n-Jake’s, Rusty Horse Tavern, Jimmy John’s, Sakae Sushi and Pizza Hut. It is also home to the metropolitan area’s most active and vibrant health and wellness center, the Platte County Community Center/YMCA.

Chris Powell, who markets the property for FiveStar Lifestyles thinks with prices starting in the low $300,000s coupled with historically low interest rates, the Lime Stone Road Townhomes offer an unprecedented opportunity for those who want to experience The National’s active resort lifestyle.
